What is the best primer for dry skin?
One of my personal favourite primers to use to hydrate my skin is MAC's Prep + Prime Natural Radiance.
These primers are specifically beneficial for combination skin types as they contain ingredients like Rosemary Extract, Wheat Germ Extract and Barley Extract that will help the skin to stay hydrated throughout the day. Vitamins E and C help to reinforce the skin's natural barrier with antioxidants, while caffeine calms the skin's appearance.
They come in 2 different colours, Radiant Yellow is great for deeper skin tones if you need to add a glow back into the skin, whilst Radiant Pink is perfect for fair skin tones.
The texture of both is a gel emulsion and they contain golden, light-illuminating pearl powder that help to combat dull skin by creating a radiant-looking glow. Your skin will feel smoother and softer whilst the texture appears more even over time.
PRO TIP:
I like to apply this after my moisturizer with a 170 Synthetic Rounded Slant Brush, the application of my foundation on my skin is smoother and it does not interfere with makeup application. I would also recommend mixing a few drops of our Prep + Prime Essential Oils Grapefruit & Chamomile in with your foundation if you have particularly dry skin for an immediate 18% improvement in skin moisturization. The oil contains a blend of natural emollients like Avocado Oil and Soybean Oil, to help condition, moisturize and soothe the skin. As well as foundation, you can also mix drops into your moisturizer for added emolliency.
