How can I find my best nude lipstick?
When it comes to finding your ideal nude lipstick shade it all comes down to your skin tone. Finding the perfect nude for you will enhance your natural lip colour without looking too overpowering whilst complementing your complexion. Even a slight hint of colour to your lips can make a big difference to your overall look so it's important to get the colour and tone right.
If you have very pale skin (think MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC10 or NW10) try Faux as it's muted dusty pink tone won’t wash out your skin or make you look paler. For a skin tone that has a bit more warmth to it and is slightly fairer (think MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC15, NC20 or NW25) give Velvet Teddy a whirl! The pinky beige tone will help to naturally complement your complexion.
For those who have a more olive skin tone (think MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC38 or C40) I believe it's always best to opt for a shade that's slightly darker than your skin tone as this will help to bring more warmth to your skin. Try S'Sexy from our Amplified range, it's warm golden undertones will have your skin looking radiant in no time! Nude lipsticks with a caramel undertone such as Taupe will look beautiful on those that have more tan and caramel complexions (think MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC44 or NW40).
Darker skin tones (think MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC60 or NW60) would look beautiful wearing Touch as a completely lustrous natural nude. If an ombre look when wearing a nude lip is more your thing though, try teaming MAC Chestnut Lip Pencil with Kinkster for a fabulous finish.
