Is matte lipstick good?

Matte Lipsticks are great if you're looking for a lipstick that has staying power and an intensity high-performance element. Matte lipsticks can be perceived as a drying product however this can only occur if you aren’t prepping your lip beforehand to avoid dehydration. Matte lipsticks are also great for special occasions as they have that long wear factor, so will be great for events such as Weddings and Proms as you won't feel like you need to keep on retouching your lipstick throughout the day and night which is a great perk. Matte lipsticks are also a great way to make a statement, they deliver a gorgeous even consistency with an opaque finish!

If you're looking for something more moisturising but still matte try My Tweedy in our "Powder Kiss" range. This lipstick will deliver a romantic blur of colour and has a totally weightless feel, containing moisturecoated powder pigments that condition and hydrate the lips.

For more of a show stopper matte try Burnt Spice in the "Retro Matte Liquid" Lipstick range as it has a long-wearing and robustly saturated formula with a rush of pigment-soaked, liquid colour in a velvety, mattest of matte finish's. PRO TIP:
Matte lipsticks can also be worn as a stain, if you want a look with less drama try blotting down the colour after application with a tissue to remove any excess product which will leave you with a stained lip look.
