M·A·C ANNOUNCE TOMORROW'S ARTIST PROGRAMME
M·A·C Cosmetics was built on artistry and started as a community of professionals, supporting grassroots talent, to renowned household names. A brand that has continuously lead the inclusivity conversation since its conception in 1984, M·A·C Cosmetics has recognised the lack of diversity in the beauty industry, particularly when it comes to artistry talent. Seeking to address this, M·A·C Cosmetics has teamed up with Incredible Brilliant Youth and gal-dem to launch the Tomorrow’s Artist programme, the latest example of the brand’s support for emerging talent.
A six week course which launched mid-August, Tomorrow’s Artist supports young people from marginalised backgrounds with a personal and professional development programme. The trainees worked with M·A·C Cosmetics and Incredible Brilliant Youth to learn more about the makeup industry, up-skill and enhance their artistry skills with key industry professionals, create engaging content, and gain new-generation business knowledge.
gal-dem will document the journey with a series highlighting the lack of diversity in the industry. The three-part series will run from October to November with one episode airing per week, featuring highlights of how the programme, M·A·C Cosmetics, and Incredible Brilliant Youth’s services benefit the trainees.

“ As a brand we are committed to making sustainable actions to further the development and progression of diverse talent in the industry. The Tomorrow’s Artist programme is the latest investment in emerging talent, following our support of student-run FUZE dance company and the launch of the M·A·C Cosmetics Equal Futures Scholarship at Central Saint Martins this year.” Fiona Sainty, MAC Cosmetics UK & Ireland Vice President General Manager |
